I’m in the process of moving, a first time home owner— which means I really have the freedom to make this place truly my own (for better or for worse lol).

A trend that I’ve been seeing is “dopamine decor”— decorating with the purpose of adding happiness and color to your life in the form of bright wall paint to playful vases! Sign me up!

I’ve made a board dedicated to visual examples of dopamine decor on my Pinterest, but here’s one of my favorites to sum up exactly what the vibe is!

Or it can be as simple as choosing one or two playful pieces, like a rug:

Below are going to be my Top 5 Ideas to Utilize Dopamine Decor in my new home! All inspo, linked to real potential options!

Hopefully I’ll be updating you soon with my own review! Until then, maybe this will inspire you to partake in the trend too! If you do: please comment to let me know what you end up loving!

👉Let’s get to why you visited!

1. Mirrors

{inspired by the mirror from The Hasipu Store on Amazon starting at $65.99 USD at 31” Length x 20 Width} #sponsoredlink

I love how interesting a mirror can be and how it can very simply add a unique moment to a wall.

With the organic shape & lack of a frame, the mirror above feels neutral, like it could fit in anywhere— I could see it above where we keep our shoes on the way out to the garage or as a featured piece like in the listing at the link.

I picked out this particular mirror because it has stellar reviews and other shapes to choose from. Granted only 13 people reviewed it….but compared to other brands, this one has a consistent review mentioning quality and how easy it is to hang.

{inspired by the Customizable Fake Cake Mirrors on Etsy, starting at $55 USD #notsponsored }

I also love the idea of this mirror I found on Etsy! 😱Obsessed with the vintage cake trend and I think this would be so fun hanging up somewhere (maybe living room, art wall vibe?).

I also feel inspired by this artist to create one myself, so stay tuned for a DIY moment! Definitely support this Etsy shop if you’re wanting well made vintage cake decor 👌 5 out of 5 stars for reviews too!

2. Mugs

{from The Koythin Store. on Amazon, $21.98 #sponsoredlink}

I remember seeing this cloudy day sky mug somewhere, and I finally found the source! So cute and is a great way to add a lil more happiness to your daily routine. :) Can even be displayed out in the open in your kitchen, on a shelf perhaps.

This particular mug has strong reviews too, 4.8 out of 5 stars on Amazon. Love the perfectly imperfect feel to it too.

Frankly any fun mug you come across is worth buying because it’s a way to brighten up your daily routine (especially if you’re obsessed with coffee, like me).

3. End Table

{inspired by 18 inch Strawberry End Table from The Galt International Store on Amazon, $129.99 USD}

I’ve seen this trend happening and it’s the perfect kind of functional dopamine decor! I see this outside on the patio or in our living room 👌 Love the color and unique moment it brings!

At the link, there’s multiple options I found! Like lettuce or cantaloupe— incredible haha This shop had quite impressive reviews too! {4.7/5 stars} Customers say that all have bright colors, shipped safely and so fun in person!

End Tables are a great moment to add personality because most of the time, it’s tucked off to the side anyways. It’s a cute surprise and great conversation piece.

4. Flower Vases

{Cute Flower Vase Inserts that can go into any candlestick! Pack of 3 is $30 USD #sponsoredlink}

I saw this TikTok by McKenna Barry, who was advertising these using a really pretty ethereal candelabra, with flowers ( watch here) annnnd this is happening haha. I see this as a table centerpiece, on a bookshelf or highlighted in a wall nook.

The ability to use any unique candlestick allows for a lot of creativity! Personally I’d use fake flowers so that it’s a moment that stays too.

I feel like flowers themselves are a form of dopamine—so finding ways to implement them and compliment their bright colors with unique vases is the perfect form of dopamine decor. 🌼

5. Lamps

{inspired by the Tiffany Stained Glass Lamp from the Blivuself Store on Amazon, $106.99 USD}

This might be the cottage core side of me, but stained glass anything I find sooo beautiful! Lamps like these are more for mood lighting, rather than a primary light source. I would love one of these in our living room for sure!

Lots of positive reviews for this particular lamp! {4.7/5 stars} The one thing I saw was that the light bulb could be an odd one. Shouldn’t be hard to bring one in to Lowe’s to find a match, in my opinion.

Regardless, there are so many kind of lamps out there and its something I didn’t realize would make me so happy to shop for. Showing more playful personality through lighting is always an easy way to go!

In Conclusion:

Dopamine Decor is an excellent way to execute your adult money in a fun way! Anything that makes you happier in your everyday life is worth doing! 💖

I’m excited to implement all of these in my new home!
